Table Talk: Sunday 9 a.m.

November 9, 2009
by T.C. Porter

Table Talk returns to 9 a.m. We will:

  1. Experience a brief review of The Forgotten Ways by evaluating AAC in light of Alan Hirsch’s book. If you have not done so, please finish your mPULSE questionnaire. This will be a helpful self-reflection.
  2. Reflect on AAC and look forward to our Dec. 1 party. I think the theme will be storytelling. One of the prevailing themes in Hirsch’s book was for us to have a unifying vision. So this Sunday I want to solidify that vision a bit and explore how we might through our stories share AAC at the party.
  3. Decide which book – if any – we want to read next. Sam and others will give overviews, and you may read excerpts of Philip Yancey’s What’s So Amazing About Grace? and Richard Stearns’ The Hole in Our Gospel. We’ll also consider reading Servolution by Dino Rizzo.  Bring $15 for our order. However we will also consider reading from the Bible instead of another book.
